What makes us a locally trusted partner

We champion grassroots & CSO coalition anchored initiatives.

Bottom-up efforts inclusive of capacity building, evidence drive platforms to convene CSOs – duty bearer’s engagement at sub-national and national levels; these continue to accord us critical access to hard-to-reach vulnerable communities and advance local influence in policy arenas.

Consistent service provision

Our long service to communities of concern e.g. Bor, Juba, Wau, Abyei, Raja, Pochalla among others attest to our institutional commitment to walk along vulnerable disaster affected and underserved populations. Hold the Child continues to demonstrate programmatic resilience, use of local resources and sustainability in the face of constrained external financing.

We work in collaboration with local leadership

Our right-based whole community approach anchored in local consensus building (co-creation) inclusive of local leaders and interest groups, e.g. locally governed duration solutions to displacements; these continue to advance the organization’s compliance to local regulation. By leveraging local inputs, our local transformative programs are cost effective.

Sub-national sector leadership

For the past decade, the organization has held several strategic sector leadership roles e.g. current protection & education co-lead in Abyei continue to build local trust and credibility.
