Founded in South Sudan in 2010, Hold the Child has grown into a trusted grassroots-to-national voice for children in crisis. By 2025, our reach spans over 100,000 people annually, through education, health, nutrition, and child protection programs and campaigns.

This transitional strategy (2025–2027) sets the foundation for Hold the Child as a regional network covering South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Kenya. It responds to urgent needs i.e. protracted conflict, climate shocks, digital divide and abuse, learning crisis and skills mismatch for young people, while positioning us to achieve the Sustenance 2030 ambition: Access, Empowerment, and Voice for every child.
