At Hold the Child, volunteerism is at the heart of everything we do. Our organization was founded by volunteers, and we continue to thrive because of their dedication and passion. Volunteering with us is not just about giving back—it’s an enriching experience that fosters personal growth, builds expertise, and opens doors to new career pathways.

Our volunteer programs are designed to address four core needs:

•  Service Delivery – Providing essential services to children and vulnerable communities.
• Protective Environment – Creating safe spaces and ensuring child rights are upheld.
• Advocacy & Awareness – Raising voices for children and marginalized groups.
• Innovation for Children – Developing creative solutions to improve children’s lives.

We welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds under the following categories:

Volunteer Categories

• Professional Providers – Teachers, Nurses, Doctors, Social Workers, Counselors, etc.
• Community Animators – Trainers, Mobilizers, Outreach Workers, Public Speakers, etc.
• Program Support – Administrators, Logistics Personnel, Security, Drivers, Office Support, etc.
• Production & Fundraising – Writers, Presenters, Event Organizers, Camerapersons, Fundraisers, etc.

Who Can Volunteer?

We seek individuals with prior experience relevant to their volunteer category. Due to the nature of our work, we have limited capacity for basic training, so ideal candidates should possess:

• Fluency in English (Arabic is an added advantage).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Leadership and teamwork skills.

Administrative Terms

Our volunteer program is open to National and International Volunteers, with administrative support tailored to each group.

1. National Volunteers (Serving in their home regions) receive:

• Local travel assistance
• Meals & communication support

2. International Volunteers (Coming from overseas) receive:

• International travel guidance
• Visa processing support
• Accommodation assistance
• Medical insurance coverage
• Local travel & meal provisions
• Communication support

Our management team collaborates with prospective volunteers to explore feasible engagement options based on available resources.
